Common Questions About Hosting GovSource Training.
Is every hosted workshop free?
No. Qualifying organizations may be considered for select no cost workshop opportunities. Availability depends on the program, location, regional demand, facility, scheduling, and final hosting terms.
How many people must our classroom hold?
GovSource generally looks for facilities capable of comfortably accommodating at least 40 participants in a classroom style setup.
Can our personnel attend a hosted workshop?
Approved host personnel may be able to attend qualifying hosted workshops at no cost, subject to program capacity and final hosting terms.
What do certification course hosts receive?
Approved hosts of select certification courses may receive up to four complimentary seats in consideration for providing the agreed facility, technology, local coordination, and other hosting requirements.
Do we need food and beverage vendors?
Hosts should be able to help identify appropriate local options for coffee, refreshments, meals, snacks, or nonalcoholic beverages when needed.
Can sponsors support the event?
Potential sponsorship support may be considered where appropriate. Host organizations should identify any agency policies, procurement requirements, ethics restrictions, or limitations involving outside vendors or sponsors.
Can neighboring agencies attend?
Depending on the program and final hosting arrangement, GovSource may open training to personnel from multiple public safety organizations.
Does submitting this form guarantee a course?
No. GovSource evaluates the facility, location, program request, demand, scheduling, and available instructors before determining whether to proceed.
